I tried Beth's sauerkraut recipe

Renee I'll try your recipe later. We seem to have plenty of sauerkraut.

Turns out that I don't hate sauerkraut. I don't love it but it's decent. I picked this recipe because the sauerkraut is a little bit diluted just in case I hated it. Of course, I didn't measure anything but here is the recipe Beth sent.

Sauerkraut and Kielbasa

1 T oil
1 onion, thinly sliced
1 # sauerkraut with juice
1 cup grouse broth (she personalized it for me! I used water and a little salt)
1 T Dijon mustard
1 bay leaf
1/2 t caraway seeds (optional)
1/2 t crushed black peppercorns
1 1/2 # kielbasa or other sausage, sliced

Saute onion in oil. Add everything else except sausage, cover, and simmer 30 minutes. Add sausage and simmer another 20 minutes. Remove bay leaf before serving.

Ben loved it. Sam loved the kielbasa but the sauerkraut made him cough and I don't know why.

Thanks for trying out my recipe! I have been carrying it around for years and hadn't yet tried it myself! It just sounded so tasty and easy that I figured you couldn't go wrong. Now you are motivating me to try it soon.
