What to do with a bunch of cilantro

I love the flavor of cilantro. We got cilantro in the last share and I still hadn't used it so I went on line and looked for a cilantro pesto recipe. I found one on the foodnetwork website.

Of course I made some changes as reflected below.

Cilantro Pesto

1 clove garlic, crushed
1 bunch cilantro, cleaned
1/2 tsp hot sesame oil
1/2 c. pecans
1 lime, juice and zest
2 inches fresh ginger
1/2 c olive oil
1 tsp salt
1 lb pasta

Cook pasta. Mix all remaining ingredients in a food processor. Mix together.

That just strikes me as the worst pasta ever!

But, you knew I'd say that!

I just can't get into cilantro. It has a soapy taste to me. Basil on the other hand - Yum-m-m-m. Are you not participating in the Summer share. Won't you miss all that pac choi and mesclun!!

That's a common complaint about cilantro and there are lots of people who really hate it. I love it though!

We're doing the share but I didn't get around to posting the picture yesterday. Hope to get to it tonight. And no pac choi this week! Yay!
